Managing Director ad-interim

Dr. Fresnel is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Sommet Education. In addition to his current role, the Glion Board of Governors have appointed him the Managing Director for the brand on an interim basis.

With Sommet Education, he is responsible for providing overall operational leadership to the group, ensuring that its portfolio of schools always deliver against the highest educational standards.

Dr. Fresnel worked in the hospitality industry for 29 years prior to joining academia. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management, a Master of Management in Hospitality from Cornell University, A Masters in Economics from La Sorbonne Graduate School, and a PhD in Management Science from Bordeaux Montesquieu University.

Dr. Fresnel is also a disciplined marathon and trail-runner.
