Dr. Bettina Wittneben

 

 

Dr Bettina Wittneben is Departmental Lecturer in Management at Said Business School, University of Oxford, UK. She is an expert in decarbonisation and sustainability strategy. Previously, she headed the UK/Ireland sustainability service offering as Principal Consultant at AFRY, a Swedish engineering and design company. She holds an MBA from the University of Alberta, Canada, and a PhD in Strategic Management and Organisation from the University of Cambridge, UK.

Bettina’s research identifies triggers for change and effective governance structures to bring about environmental sustainability in organisations. Her work spans the energy sector, energy-intensive industries (e.g., steel), as well as pulp and paper. She teaches Organisational Behaviour, e.g., leadership, as well as Technology and Operations Management. She is a British/German dual national and lives with her family in Oxfordshire.
