Intensive Hospitality English Language Program
Our Intensive Hospitality English Language Program (IHELP) focuses on intensive English learning while also teaching students important hospitality industry terminology and knowledge.
We offer this program to students who need help to fulfill the entry requirements of the Bachelor’s or Master’s programs at Glion Institute of Higher Education.
How it works
Our experienced teachers tailor the course to individual student needs to improve their English grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, pronunciation, reading and writing. At the start and upon completion of the program at the Glion campus in Switzerland, students will take an Academic English test.

Program entry requirements
Bachelor’s programs
Students must achieve an IELTS score of 5.5 to enroll in a Bachelor program at Glion Institute of Higher Education in Switzerland or London, UK.
6-week course for Bachelor candidates: designed for students who have a minimum overall IELTS score of 5.0 and min. 4.5 in every sub-component on application.
Bachelor applicants in the 6 week IHELP must achieve a minimum Linguaskills Business Reading and Listening score of 160/180+ equivalent to a high B2 level on the Common European Framework of Reference to progress onto the Bachelor program. This test takes place on site at the beginning and end of the 6 week IHELP.
Master’s Programs
Students must achieve an IELTS score of 6.0 to enroll in a MSc program at Glion Institute of Higher Education in Switzerland.
6-week course for Master candidates: designed for students who have a minimum overall IELTS score of 5.5 and min. 5 in every sub-component on application.
MSc applicants in the 6 week IHELP must achieve a minimum Linguaskills score of 75/100, equivalent to a high B2 /C1 level on the Common European Framework of Reference, in order to progress onto the MSc program. This test takes place on site at the beginning and end of the 6 week IHELP.
